Privacy Policy

CleanMyPlace values your privacy. The term ‘CleanMyPlace’, ‘CleanMyPlace Platform’,  ‘us’ or ‘we’, or the ‘Company’ refers to the owner of the website whose registered office is Chroma Domestic Cleaning Services Limited, trading as CleanMyPlace, 22 Sitwell Way, Aberavon, Port Talbot, SA12 6BL, Company Number: 05827930. This Privacy Policy describes how we manage, utilise, and safeguard your Personal Information. By using the CleanMyPlace platform, you agree to the handling of your Personal Information in accordance with this policy. Personal Information refers to data that identifies you as an individual, such as your name, email address, and mobile number.

This Privacy Policy covers:

  1. The information we collect

  2. How we use the collected information

  3. How and why we might share the information

  4. The measures we take to protect your information

  5. Your choices concerning our collection and use of your Personal Information

  6. How to contact us with Privacy Policy-related questions

This Privacy Policy applies only to information collected on the CleanMyPlace.com website (“Site”) and through the CleanMyPlace mobile applications, including applications for service requesters and service professionals (“App”) (collectively referred to as the “CleanMyPlace Platform”).

I. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

a) Personal Information You Provide

We gather information you voluntarily share with us via the CleanMyPlace Platform.

As a service requester using the CleanMyPlace Platform, you may provide:

  • Contact details, such as your name, physical address, phone number, and email address

  • Login credentials, including your CleanMyPlace Platform username and password

  • Information about your home, including the number of bedrooms, appliance types, your home’s zip or postal code, and service instructions

  • Payment information, including credit/debit card details or information on digital payment accounts and the CleanMyPlace Platform

  • Ratings and reviews of service providers you engage through the CleanMyPlace Platform

As a service provider or when contacting CleanMyPlace or its third-party service providers, you may provide:

  • Contact details, such as your name, email address, mailing address, and phone number

  • Login credentials, including your CleanMyPlace Platform username and password

  • Application information for consideration as a service provider, including your experience, skills, work eligibility, and availability

  • Your photograph

  • Social Security number (for service providers in the United States who undergo a background check)

If applying for employment with CleanMyPlace through the Platform, you may provide:

  • Contact details, including your name, email address, phone number, and mailing address

  • Resume and LinkedIn profile

Regarding payment card information:

Users can submit payment card information for services via the CleanMyPlace Platform. However, CleanMyPlace does not directly receive this information. Payment card details are transmitted to a third-party payment processor, Stripe, using an Internet connection secured by industry-standard Transport Layer Security (TLS) encryption technology. Stripe then informs CleanMyPlace whether the payment has cleared without providing payment card information.

Surveys:

You may voluntarily complete surveys on the CleanMyPlace Platform or those distributed by CleanMyPlace, concerning your satisfaction, engagement, and awareness of features, among other topics. In some instances, we may link the information you provide in the survey to Personal Information in your account, such as your name or email address. When connected to Personal Information, your survey data also becomes Personal Information.

b) Information Collected Through Technology

We gather information through technology to improve our service to you. When you access and use the CleanMyPlace Platform or contact us or our third-party service providers, we collect data about your interactions. We outline below some methods we use for collecting information through technology.

When you visit the CleanMyPlace Platform, we collect your Internet Protocol (IP) address. An IP address is typically linked to the portal used to access the internet, such as an ISP, company, association, or university. While an IP address may reveal your ISP or geographic area, we cannot identify you based solely on your IP address. However, we may associate the last IP address you used to access the CleanMyPlace Platform with the Personal Information you provide. If local laws consider IP addresses and similar data as Personal Information, we treat them accordingly.

We may also gather a unique identifier for your computer, mobile device, or other devices used to access the CleanMyPlace Platform (“Device Identifier”). A Device Identifier is a number automatically assigned to the device you use to access the platform. We may connect the Device Identifier to other information about your visit, such as pages viewed, and to Personal Information you provide, like your name. Additionally, we may collect information about your interaction with the CleanMyPlace Platform through advertising partners and data enrichment tools.

Do We Use Cookies?

Yes.

Types of cookies used on our website:

  • We use only first-party cookies on our Site.

Third-party service providers involved:

  • Google Analytics

  • Google

  • Facebook

  • Twitter

Opt-out options for users:

  • You may opt out of Google’s use of cookies by visiting Google’s Ads Settings here.

E.U. users’ right to refuse cookies:

  • Users in the European Union (E.U.) have the right to refuse to allow cookies to be placed on the device they use to access the Site. Rejecting cookies through browser settings may mean that any preferences you set on this Site will be lost and that the Site may not work as well.

Web Beacons

We may include small graphic images or other web programming code called web beacons (also known as “pixel tags,” “web bugs,” or “clear GIFs”) in our web and mobile pages and messages. Web beacons are tiny graphics with a unique identifier used to track online user movements. Unlike cookies, which are stored on a user’s computer hard drive, web beacons are embedded invisibly on web pages and are about the size of a period. Web beacons help us manage content on the CleanMyPlace Platform by informing us what content is effective, monitoring user navigation, counting platform users, and tracking how many of our sent emails were opened.

Your ‘Do Not Track’ Browser Setting

We do not support the Do Not Track (DNT) browser setting. DNT is a preference you can set in your browser’s settings to inform websites that you do not want them to collect your Personal Information.

We track your online activities over time and across third-party websites or online services. For instance, we use web beacons to determine what links or advertisers directed you to our Site. We also use third-party service providers to display advertisements to you on other websites based on your activities while using the CleanMyPlace Platform.

c) Information Collected by Mobile Applications

When you use the App, it may automatically collect and store some or all of the following information from your mobile device (“Mobile Device Information”), including but not limited to:

  • The type of internet browsers used with the App

  • Your preferred country site

  • Your mobile operating system

  • Your phone number or other identifiers assigned to your mobile device, including the IP address, manufacturer, and model of your mobile device

We may also gather information about your App usage, such as time spent, frequency of specific feature usage, overall App usage, and actions taken within the App. Furthermore, we may collect data about the website from which you downloaded the App to help us determine the most effective download site (collectively “App Usage Information”).

We may associate your Mobile Device Information and App Usage Information with the Personal Information you provide, in which case we will treat the combined data as Personal Information.

Location Tracking

If you are a service provider using CleanMyPlace’s mobile application for service providers, we may collect your geographic location using Global Positioning System (GPS) information sent from the application. For more information on when this data is collected, its usage, and who it is shared with, service providers should refer to the Service Provider Agreement available on the service provider portal.

We only gather location information for service providers who have been accepted to participate on the CleanMyPlace Platform, not for service requesters or service providers applying to join the platform.

e) Information Third Parties Provide About You

Conversion Tracking: We may enhance the information we collect about you through the CleanMyPlace Platform with records obtained from third parties. This helps us better serve you, tailor our content, and offer information we believe may interest you. For instance, websites where we placed advertisements, such as Google, may inform us which ads about CleanMyPlace you clicked, commonly known as “conversion tracking.”

Recording Phone Calls: Selected third parties, including those assisting with customer service support, may monitor and/or record phone calls made through or related to the CleanMyPlace Platform after notifying you and obtaining your consent.

Social Networking Sites: If you log in to the CleanMyPlace Platform through a social networking site like Facebook, we may collect your Facebook authentication token and account identification number, using that information to grant you access to your account on our platform.

Ratings and Reviews: If you use the CleanMyPlace Platform as a service provider, we may receive information about you in the form of ratings and reviews from customers who used your services through our platform.

Photographs of Completed Services: If you request services through the CleanMyPlace Platform, service providers may take photographs of completed services and share them with us.

We will apply this Privacy Policy to any Personal Information received from third parties unless we have stated otherwise.

f) Information You Provide to a Third Party

The CleanMyPlace Platform contains links to third-party sites or applications (“Third-Party Sites”) and plugins (e.g., Twitter buttons) from Third-Party Sites.

CleanMyPlace does not control any Third-Party Sites and is not responsible for any information they collect. The data collection practices of a Third-Party Site are governed by that site’s privacy policy.

We advise that you review the Third-Party Site’s privacy policy if you decide to visit any Third-Party Site or click on a plugin.

II. HOW WE USE THE PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT

If the provided contact number changes, notify us promptly. Consents in this section survive account cancellation. Opt-out options are available for promotional messages.

We may use a service provider to mask your phone number during calls or text (SMS) exchanges with a service provider or requester using a CleanMyPlace-provided number. We, and our service provider, will receive and store real-time call data, such as date, time, phone numbers, and text (SMS) content. You consent to this masking process and our use and disclosure of call data for legitimate business purposes.

Information may be transferred to, processed, or stored in countries with varying data protection laws. We will take appropriate measures to protect personal information in line with this policy.

Data Retention

Database backups containing your Personal Information are deleted after 13 months.

III. HOW WE SHARE THE INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We may sell, rent, or trade your Personal Information to third parties as disclosed in this Privacy Policy when you provide your information. We share your information in the following ways and for these purposes:

a) Service Provider Profiles, Service Instructions by Requesters, and Ratings and Reviews by Requesters
